Rome Ramirez will exit Sublime while original members team up With Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob

The announcement came one week after a performance with Jakob Nowell in L.A.

Rome Ramirez, lead singer of the group Sublime with Rome, announced his departure from the band yesterday. This comes one week after Jakob Nowell and Sublime performed at a benefit concert for Bad Brains frontman H.R. in L.A.

Sublime with Rome has performed classic Sublime songs and Ramirez’s own original material since 2009. It was during the performance last week that Jakob Nowell made the announcement that he is taking over as frontman for Sublime. The Nowell family, along with original band members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh, have laid the groundwork for Bradley Nowell’s son to take over his father’s role and lead the band into a new era. 2024 will be the last time Rome is on tour with the band. Check out the announcement and Jakob’s eerilie similar vocals to his dad below.
