Several serious incidents have been reported on Oasis’ UK tour.

At Wembley Stadium, a fan in his 40s fell to his death from about 170ft above the concrete ground.  Bystanders attempted to provide assistance.  Despite extensive medical intervention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses are asked to come forward with any additional information.

In another incident at the same venue, Joel Garner, an Oasis super fan, was knocked unconscious by security guards trying to stop another person from entering the venue without a ticket. Shortly after being mistakenly dogpiled, Garner had a seizure.  The incident caused him to miss the entire concert.

Garner has declined to press charges but is asking for new tickets.

On a lighter note, beer vendors crushed Wembley Stadium’s pint-downing record at a whopping 250,000 pints per night.

Oasis sold out four shows at Wembley.  They are headed to Edinburgh and Dublin before heading to Ontario to begin their North American tour, which begins August 24th.

UPDATE: The name of the man who fell from the balcony at Wembley Stadium has been released.  Lee Claydon’s father is demanding answers from the venue regarding his son’s death.  He stated that there was beer on the floor, which made it slippery.  He says his son was not drunk at the time, so the slippery floor must have been the cause of the fall.  We’ll keep you updated on any further developments.
