South American leg of Morrissey tour cancelled

Citing severe exhaustion, Morrissey cancelled all of his South American shows, as well as two December shows in Turkey. He postponed 10 more shows. He plans to return to the stage early next year.
The former front man of influential 80s band The Smiths already cancelled shows across Europe and North America last summer, including a show in Canada where there was a credible threat on his life.
Fans expressed their frustration on social media, saying that Morrissey likely cancelled because of low ticket sales, not exhaustion. Concerned that he might cancel more shows, some fans are putting off buying tickets closer to the date of their city’s show. Fans in Mexico were especially frustrated, since Morrissey cancelled shows in that country during his last three tours.

X1039 represented at the Denver show, where the singer performed to a nearly sold-out crowd. He joked that he didn’t want to sound cliche, but Denver’s high altitude was indeed impacting his performance that night. Impacted or not, Morrissey put on a great show and fans were not disappointed.
