Foo Fighters have fired their latest drummer, Josh Freese, who took the place of Taylor Hawkins, after his death in 2022.  The band hasn’t given a reason to the public OR to Josh, other than that they’re “going in a different direction.”

Josh expressed surprise on social media, and said he’s never been fired from a band before.  He’s been in a bunch of acts, including The Vandals, Devo, Guns N’ Roses, and A Perfect Circle.

It’s unclear what happens next for Foo Fighters, or for Josh.
