Edge On The Clock: Alcoholic Mountain Dew Hits Store Shelves

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An alcoholic version of Mountain Dew just hit some store shelves. Pepsi partnered with Boston Beer company to turn the soft drink into a caffeine-free alcoholic beverage. The 100-calorie spiked seltzer is 5 percent alcohol by volume. It comes in four flavors: Baja blast, watermelon, black cherry, and original. Hard Mountain Dew launched in Tennessee, Florida, and Iowa on Tuesday, with plans to expand to more states later this year.

Plus, Britney Spears wants to add best-selling author to her list of accomplishments. The pop star has signed a massive book deal with publishing house Simon and Schuster.
