Bonnaroo Music And Arts Festival Announces They Are Requiring COVID Vaccine Cards Or Negative Tests To Attend Festival
MANCHESTER, T.N. — Bonnaroo Music And Arts Festival just announced they are requiring all attendees to be fully vaccinated or show a negative COVID-19 test to enter the festival grounds. The sold out festival is expected to host at least 80,000 people.
The festival is normally held in June but was rescheduled for Labor Day weekend due to COVID.
Hundreds of people have already complained on social media about the lack of information the festival organizers have released in the weeks leading up to the festival. Now, just 23 days away from the show, the festival organizers made this announcement about attendees needing to be either fully vaccinated or have a negative COVID test within 72 hours of first entering the festival grounds:
Bonnaroo says they will be providing COVID-19 Rapid Antigen testing at any Plaza Medical Tent for $40. Health Check Wristbands will be issued upon receiving a negative test. If an attendee tests positive for COVID, a second complimentary test will be given for confirmation.
If both tests are positive, Medical staff will notify the individual of their test status, remove their festival wristband, and provide pre-printed instructions on how to request a refund for their ticket. Any patron who tests positive will not be allowed to remain on site and will be asked to collect their belongings and exit the site immediately.
Headliners of this year’s festival include: Foo Fighters, Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo, Tame Impala, Tyler, The Creator and Rufus Du Sol. See the full line up here: https://www.bonnaroo.com/
