HBO Orders a Spinoff Prequel to “Game Of Thrones”

If it airs, the prequel (one of five) will be set thousands of years prior to the happenings in the Westeros that we all know and follow, and it’s all backed by Game Of Thrones author George RR Martin and screenwriter Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class and the Kingsman films.)

Of course the new show won’t be aired until after the final episode of Game Of Thrones airs in 2019, but HBO said in a statement that the show would chronicle, “the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour.”

“From the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East, to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.”
